The Groupe santé CHC, Belgium, chooses AGFA HealthCare’s Enterprise Imaging for its entire medical imaging department
AGFA HealthCare is pleased to announce that the Groupe santé CHC, in Liege, has chosen to implement the AGFA HealthCare Enterprise Imaging Platform for its entire medical imaging department, across its four hospitals and eleven sites. The 10-year contract includes the supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance of Enterprise Imaging for Radiology and the Enterprise Imaging VNA, which will be used for hospital imaging across various clinic and polyclinic sites – with the entire department performing more than 400,000 examinations each year.
Enhanced efficiency for better patient care
The Enterprise Imaging Platform will deliver the high performance and efficiency that the group’s Radiologists need to ensure examinations are carried out under the best possible conditions.
“Medical imaging is an area that has significantly benefited from advancements in medical and information technology. Our strategic plan, Pulse, was launched in 2021 to enable us to address both the benefits and challenges for healthcare organizations now and in the future. This includes ensuring that the radiologists at all our hospitals have access to the latest generation of high-performance, innovative equipment, so that the best examinations can be carried out under the best possible conditions at each site. Enterprise Imaging will support that goal, by facilitating our Medical Imaging department to maximize its efficiency, and reach the upper limits of its potential,” says Dr François Dister, head of Groupe santé CHC’s medical imaging department.
“We are delighted that Groupe santé CHC has chosen to move into the future with the AGFA HealthCare Enterprise Imaging VNA/PACS for its Medical Imaging department. We have worked for many years with Groupe santé CHC’s MOVE network partners: the St. Nicolas Hospital in Eupen and the St. Joseph Clinic in Saint-Vith. We are proud that we will also be supporting Groupe santé CHC in the network’s goal to collaborate to offer both the best local care and the highly specialized care needed for more complex cases,” says Ann Deroose, Managing Director for Benelux & Nordics for AGFA HealthCare.
Faster, smoother medical imaging workflow
Groupe santé CHC is a member of the MOVE network, a tripartite collaboration with St. Nicolas hospital in Eupen and the St. Joseph Clinic in Saint-Vith to combine high-quality local care with a broad range of services for patients. Both St. Nicolas Hospital and the St. Joseph Clinic are long-term AGFA HealthCare customers. Within the MOVE network, Clinique CHC MontLégia is the reference center for certain pathologies, and handles cases involving complex or rare pathologies.
Clinique CHC MontLégia is the Groupe santé CHC’s reference hospital, with 720 in-patient beds, and 120 day-patient beds. It opened in March 2020, on the site of the former Patience and Beaujonc colliery in the city of Liege. The Group’s other hospitals offering medical imaging services are the Clinique CHC Hermalle, the Clinique CHC Heusy and the Clinique CHC Waremme.
AGFA HealthCare Enterprise Imaging will be used across the four hospitals and 11 sites of the Groupe santé CHC. This consolidated image management platform is designed to help radiologists, cardiologists and other clinical users work at the top of their craft and stay fully focused, free of distractions. The seamless integration of advanced clinical applications enables frictionless access to the tools that help improve diagnostic quality and accuracy. The platform keeps the entire healthcare ecosystem in flow, enabling healthcare providers to leverage medical imaging across the care continuum. By allowing images and related data to be captured, managed, stored and distributed across the enterprise, it eliminates inefficient imaging siloes.
A big welcome to CHC to #TeamAGFA!
