The first of a kind for industry, and a trail-blazing initiative for Agfa HealthCare.

On the 10^th January 2023, Agfa HealthCare invited clinical and IT stakeholders from across the UK to their inaugural Industry Collaboration Day, which took place in Central London.

Segmented into two sessions, clinical re-design and digital transformations, the event was hosted by Agfa’s senior team, and led by  pre-selected panelists from industry. The guest panelists posed questions and insights to the delegate group of 26 imaging IT influencers, from CCIOs and IT Managers to clinicians and medical directors.

A hot topic for the region, the formation and support of Integrated Care Systems (ICS) was a focal point of discussion, and NHS Radiologists and interoperability experts were on hand to provide insights on previous successes and future predictions.

Agfa HealthCare’s CCIO for Northern Europe, Dr Nick Spencer, also led a session where he created a dynamic exchange on best-practice clinical outcomes, which was soon followed by Karen Middlehurst’s overview on Regional Imaging Networks (RINs) and integrated care provision.

Supported by the global teams, including President Nathalie McCaughley, The Agfa HealthCare teams were excited to exchange neutral and unbiased viewpoints on the market status quo – and delighted to receive huge engagement from the market – affording valuable input for future imaging IT development.
