KLAS Global Summit Exclusive: Live Event Day 1 – Optimisations & Outcomes

Reporting live from Lake Maggiore! The KLAS Global Summit is underway, focusing on leveraging healthcare IT learnings and experiences. This event features an agenda packed with insightful sessions aimed at sharing outcomes among some of the industry’s most prominent subject matter experts.

Taking place over 2 days, the summit’s primary objective is to advance healthcare through technology, best practices, investments, and collaboration between providers, vendors, and investors. Agenda sessions include work groups, panels and presentations, attended by AGFA HealthCare’s Head of Strategy & Communications Véronique Lessens, plus Regional President for Northern Europe, Roberto Anello.

Today began with a welcome from KLAS Research CEO Adam Gale, followed by a keynote from KLAS’ Sidney Tate, who delivered “Global Healthcare IT Trends” using his unique perspective as Insights Director for Imaging & International Markets.  After an AI Tabletop Discussion, delegates participated in a discussion panel, hosted by Helen Balsdon (National Chief Nursing Information Officer) for NHS England, Jacques Rossler (CIO) from Hôpital Universitaire de Bruxelles, Marco Foracchia (CIO) from Azienda USL di Reggio Emilia, Dr. Mubaraka Ibrahim (Acting CIO) from Emirates Health Services and KLAS’ Rebecca Hammond (Chief Delivery Officer).

The panel “Future Technologies to Advance Global Healthcare” explored strategies to  to close the gaps in Health IT ( HIT) and highlighted areas for impactful improvements.  This was followed by KLAS’s presentation “Best Practices Leading to EHR Satisfaction” by Connor Bice,  Senior Director of Insights, Arch Collaborative, KLAS Research.

Further enriching the day, Dr Tamara Sunbul (Medical Director of Clinical Informatics, Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare), Dr Fábio de Cerqueira Lario (Chief Medical Information Officer,  Sírio-Libanês) and Dr Aviv Gladman (Chief Medical Information Office,  Mackenzie Health) hosted “Success Story Presentations: EMR Optimization”, which cojoined KLAS-measured learnings and success from Arch Collaborative member healthcare organizations.

Day 1 concluded with a highly engaging breakout session focused on security insights. Chad Holmes (Security Evangelist, Cynerio), Dr Peter Gocke (Chief Digital Officer, Charité University Medical Center), Rob Lee (Vice President, Digital Health & CDO, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Rui Gomes (CIO, Coimbra University Hospital Centre). and, coming from an AGFA HealthCare site herself, Sabrina Cristofano (Chief Information Security Officer & Data Protection Officer) from CHU Brugmann, shared their valuable insights.

Day 1 of the KLAS Global Summit was a fantastic day of engagement and learnings, facilitated by KLAS Research and their industry partners. Looking forward to Day 2!
