UKIO Exclusive: Day 2

As we move into Day 2, AGFA HealthCare continues to demonstrate how Enterprise Imaging advancements and innovations enable ‘Imaging without Barriers’ for the radiology community. Delegates have already received a warm welcome from #TeamAGFA at Booth B23, and our Regional President for Northern Europe, Roberto Anello, is also on-hand to meet the pioneers of the imaging sector.

Today Dr Nicholas Spencer, Radiologist & Chief Clinical Information Officer, showcased the Peer Learning Tool, which supports clinical reporters, Radiology Education and Learning Meetings and the Candour process. Nick discussed how peer –to -peer support and supervision are key to ongoing learning, and continuous quality improvement, leading to better delivery of care for patients. Coming up later today, we will hear from Dr Anjum Ahmed for the Digital Solutions in Radiology Practice case study session where he will present “Cancer Care Pathways and the Impact of AI – Multi-Centre Case Study”.

Another key agenda point today was Streaming technologies. As the explosion in medical imaging data requires solutions that make critical information readily available, Enterprise Imaging offers web-based streaming technology that makes images available in near real-time , wherever they are needed. Radiologists break free from geographical constraints, and all members of the care team are empowered to collaborate seamlessly.
